Sisk Appointed to the Highways Agency’s Collaborative Delivery Framework - UPDATE- StART Scores Announced

John Sisk have been awarded a place on the Highways Agency’s new Collaborative Delivery Framework.

A Sisk/Lagan JV has been appointed to Lot 3A and will deliver schemes valued between £25m and £100m. The Framework will include critical infrastructure projects such as smart motorways and major highway improvements works.

The framework represents a step change for the Highways Agency and is designed to establish fully collaborative behaviour between contractors, designers and the supply chain.  With the projected spend for the framework expected to reach £5bn over the next 4 years we are looking forward to establishing close working relationships with the Highways Agency and its partners to realise best value solutions.

This award cements Sisk’s place within the highways sector complementing established relationships in the UK with both the Welsh Government and Transport Scotland.

UPDATE -  DECEMBER 2015

A great StART

Over 12 months ago Sisk commenced the StART (Strategic Alignment Review Tool) assessment for the Highways Agency as part of the tender process for the recently awarded Collaborative Delivery Framework. We are pleased to say we scored a very credible 113/180, as illustrated by the table below.

Not only did this result play a key part in the award of the CDF, it also benchmarks the business with the industry over the next 3 years and will form part of any further prequalification exercises with the Highways Agency. The process has helped underline both the strengths of the business and the improvement measures we need to make (in line with our commitment to continuous improvement). We will now work in close partnership with the Highways Agency to develop the business, and ultimately deliver world class civil engineering solutions.
