Commonwealth Games Shooting Range on Target

Sisk are building new canopies to the shooting ranges being constructed for the Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow. This follows on from our successful construction of the Olympic and Paralympic Ranges in the 2012 London Games.
The local Evening Telegraph reports;
Tayside is buzzing with excitement as the area’s Commonwealth Games venue finally starts to take shape.
With just 141 days until the start of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, works are nearing completion at Barry Buddon Shooting Centre by Carnoustie — where thousands of spectators are expected to watch scores of shooters aim for gold this summer.
Contractors from the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and the Glasgow 2014 Organising Committee said this week that construction on the centre’s new pistol firing range is nearing its final stages, and that other temporary instalments on the 2,600 acre site were “on schedule”.
Works at Barry Buddon are expected to be completed in full by June. Its shooting events will take place from July 25-29.
