JOHN SISK & SON APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMMES BROAD BASED CONSTRUCTION – APPLICATIONS FOR 2019 AVAILABLE SOON.
Are you ambitious, driven and keen to build a career with a leading building contractor?
If so, John Sisk & Son has a number of apprenticeship routes into Site Management and Construction Management, which could be your first exciting and suitable step in your career in construction. We are looking for talented, practical apprentices to become our next generation of Site Managers. You will be passionate about working with people whom we see as key to delivering successful projects.
For our Level 4 / Higher Apprenticeship Programme intake, two years in duration partnering a number of colleges nationally, you will have five Leaving Certificates Ordinary Level assess (Ireland) or three 'A' Level subjects or equivalent vocational qualifications (UK), ideally in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) field. You will attend college one day per week, with the remainder of the week being on our live sites, carrying out real work and learning. From day one you will be soaking up technical knowledge and skills and applying it directly on one of our multi-million pound projects. You will be mentored and supported throughout the programme by some of our very best people, ensuring that your career is constantly in sharp focus and you are on the path to a rewarding career in site management where you can make a real difference.

Are you keen to become a chartered quantity surveyor in a leading building contractor?
If so, then our Quantity Surveying Apprenticeship programme could be just right for you. Not only will you be sponsored to achieve a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying during the 5-year training programme, but you will also become a chartered Quantity Surveyor with the RICS. Following a structured learning plan with one of our training partners (University College of Estate Management or Dublin Institute of Technology Bolton Street), you will be either attending college/university campus or studying via a blended learning approach 1 day a week, and undergoing rigorous workplace learning for the other 4 days of the week. This will all be with full academic and employer support.
Apart from the minimum qualifications, if you are passionate about building your career as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, are strong in analytical thinking, pro-active and motivated in your approach both from an individual and team environment, and are constantly hungry to learn, then we hope to hear from you when applications open.
Successful recruits for both programmes are likely to start their apprenticeship journeys in Sept 2019.
