The £3.5m contract will take 29 weeks and will be completed in March 2010. The works will see the original 1960s style offices transformed into modern open plan, air conditioned office space fit for 21st century policing.

    Work has started erecting the frame of the new Pavilion building on Weston's Grand Pier, which is being constructed by contractor John Sisk & Son (Sisk). Commenting on the structure of the Pavilion Les Nicholls, Director Western Region, Sisk commented: “We have already completed a great deal of work on the structure, the steel beams underneath and the new metal deck but this is the first visible sign that the Grand Pier is really on its way to being rebuilt.”
