John Sisk & Son starts £250m/€290m worth of contracts in six months

UK contractor benefits for parent company’s diversity

John Sisk & Son has started over £250m/€290m of projects in the UK during the past six months.

Liam Nagle, CEO, SISK Group (the parent company of John Sisk & Son) said:  “This is the latest important landmark in the continued growth of John Sisk & Son in the UK.  The SISK Group has been pursuing a strategy of sectoral and geographical diversification in recent years and this is paying dividends.

“While construction in Ireland has slowed, our UK construction business is making great strides. We are also continuing to grow our healthcare interests and are diversified into distribution and other sectors.”

Paul Wilson, Managing Director, John Sisk & Son in the UK added, “Being a strong and differentiated organisation has given us a very positive view of 2010 and beyond, vindicating our strategy of expanding our activity in sectors and projects where we can use key Sisk strengths to bring clients added value and confidence in project delivery.

“We have built deep experience and a solid reputation in a range of sectors over many years.  Combined with the financial stability and long term business view that we gain from being part of a diversified, family owned group of companies, this has allowed us to do what is right for our clients and ultimately our business.

“We believe that this unique combination of experience, customer focus and delivery, creates real advantages for our clients and has helped us to buck the trend as we focus on continuing our growth in the UK.”
