    Construction Safety Week is from 23rd – 27th of October 2017 and Sisk have partnered with the CIF to raise the awareness of health, safety and wellbeing by the industry for the industry.  Sisk has raised the bar and made a commitment to do whatever it takes to achieve “Zero Incidents, Zero Injuries” on all our sites and by doing so, we protect our people and give all those that work for us the best possible working environment in which to work.

    The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) recently announced that John Sisk & Son Ltd with BDP Ltd have been selected as the preferred prime contractor with multi-disciplinary design team for Phase 4 of the Redevelopment Programme at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) in London.

    Attracting more votes from our supply chain partners, clients and other stakeholders within the industry, Sisk beat off fierce competition from a number of tier 1 contractors, to receive the  Best Main Contractor to Work With (over £250m) accolade at the awards night on October 10th.   This award recognises Sisk as one of the industry’s best companies to do business with. And we would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who voted!
  • Congrats to our Gold Medal Winning Construction Manager

    We are pleased to report that one of our UK based team, Ger Hayes, was awarded the Gold Medal in the CIOB Construction Manager of the Year Award Ceremony on Wednesday 27th at an event in London. He was successful in the Residential Category for the Emerald Gardens project at Wembley which completed in October 2016. This is a prestigious, highly competitive award and is a great personal achievement for Ger.

  • A19-A1058 Coast Road Junction - First Bridge Beams Installed

    Our A19-A1058 Coast Road scheme being delivered for Highways England in Newcastle upon Type reached a significant milestone in June when the bridge beams to the first of the six new bridges being built on the scheme were installed.   The 19 beams ranging in weight from 25 tonnes to 57 tonnes were installed successfully over a 24 hour period using a 400 tonne crane initially and the 400 tonne and a 250 tonne crane working in tandem for the heavier precast edge beams.  
  • Sisk Steconfer JV begin testing trams on new Luas Cross City extension

    Sisk Steconfer JV has commenced testing the trams on the new Luas Cross City light rail extension in Dublin, the most significant milestone for the project to date. Running from St Stephen’s Green to Broombridge through the city centre, Phibsborough and Cabra, the new line will link the Luas Red and Green Lines.
