Microsoft Data Centre Dublin
Client : Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd
Value : €205m
This new Tier 4 Data Centre development is located in Dublin on a 19 acre site. It is one of the largest Data Centres in Europe and has space for further expansion.
Sisk fully managed all subcontracts to ensure close co-ordination between the critical services particularly mechanical and electrical subcontractors. Sisk procured 800 pieces of equipment valued at over €46m thereby helping to provide best value and maintain schedule and quality. Our in-house buildings services team managed the procurement and the co-ordination of the M+E subcontractors to make their scope of work seamless in the overall project.
The project was managed under a Management Contract and utilized Sisk’s snagging database to ensure the facility was handed over virtually snag-free.
The project was constructed in two phases with five COLOs (data suites) in each phase. Phase 1 consisted of five 13,000 m2 COLOs, 2000 m2 office space, a 110KV substation and associated siteworks.
Phase 2 consists of a further five COLOs of 13,000 m2.
Each COLO was fitted out on a phased basis with COLOs 1 & 2 included in the initial works. Maximum power demand is estimated between 60 to 70 MW.
The 2-tier structure has data rooms on Level 2 with associated plant on Level 1, Ground and above the roof level on a galvanized structural steel plant platform.
